Tik is a highly addictive psychostimulant that is commonly used as a party drug, but because of its fast-acting, highly addictive nature, many people are finding themselves addicted to it. Tik is the street name for crystal methamphetamine. It is also known as ice, glass or meth. It resembles shiny rocks or crystals with a glass-like appearance. Over recent years there has been a sharp increase in its use resulting in many people becoming addicted to the drug. Tik is most commonly smoked using a glass pipe, it can be ingested, snorted or injected. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tik has been around for a long time, it is a man-made stimulant that was given to soldiers during WW2 to keep them awake and alert. It has been used for weight loss and to ease depression, but currently there is no legal use for the drug. Crystal methamphetamine\/tik produces a euphoric rush, it also creates a feeling of confidence and increased energy. Tik causes dopamine to flood the pleasure\/reward centre of the brain. Users of the drug once hooked, chase the rush they felt in the beginning. Continued use also builds tolerance in the user which means they need to start taking more of the drug to get the same high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
